June 3 Professor Doina COZMAN, Chair of the 23rd WASP Congress National Organizing Committee has started her Romanian Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Association (RPPA) Presidential mandate, 2019-2022, at the conclusion of the RPPA national congress held recently in Sibiu, Romania. Congratulations!  

 

 


 

   
June 3 Professsor Daniel DAVID will be delivering the 1st Joshua BIERER Memorial Lecture, Psychocultural Profile of ROMANIA and Its Implications for the Mental Health Field at our WASP congress this October.  He has been honored recently with the Elisabeth Pilkington RATIU Mental Health Award at the Babes Bolyai University in Cluj, ROMANIA. This prize was established by Mr. Nicolae RATIU, Chair of the RATIU Family Charitable Foundation in London, UK, and Professor Eliot SOREL in memory of Mr Ratiu's mother who was a mental health professional in London, England and a pioneer in mental health promotion.

Dr. BIERER, a British psychiatrist of Romanian origins established the WASP in London UK, in 1964 thus this year we will celebrate its 55th anniversary. The topic of Prof DAVID's lecture will be Romania's Psychocultural profile and its implications for mental health."
